Nickel 200 tubing is made from a 99% nickel alloy known as commercially pure nickel. The composition of the material contains carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, copper, iron and 99% nickel. The material has a minimum yield strength of 148MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 462MPa, but the corrosion resistance of the material is very high. Nickel 200 tubing also has a high density of 8.9 grams per cubic centimeter. Due to its high melting point of 1446°C, the material is suitable for high temperature service. Ni200 tubing is used in severely corrosive environments such as seawater, marine, chemical, acid and aerospace applications.
Alloy 200 pipe can be welded, seamless, ERW or LSAW types. Depending on the application requirements, pipes and pipes can have different types of ends such as plain, threaded and beveled.

Alloy 200 Nickel Tube is a commercially pure nickel tube with strong mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance against a wide variety of corrosive agents. A range of processing machinery, especially maintaining product purity when handling food, synthetic fibers and alkalis, are typical applications.
Additionally, Nickel 200 welded tubing has excellent ductility due to its physical properties, including the alloy's magnetic and magnetoresistive properties, thermal conductivity, and electrical conductivity. This ensures that the same alloy used to make Alloy 200 seamless tubing will also be used to make fine wire.
Additionally, due to the above properties, the use of materials such as Nickel 200 Cold Rolled Coil has expanded into markets such as electrical and electronic applications. Nickel 200 tube suppliers note that the alloy will react in reducing and neutral media as well as in oxidizing atmospheres if the oxidizing media is capable of forming a passive oxide film on the metal surface. This oxide film formed on the surface of nickel UNS N02200 tubing gives the metal excellent resistance, especially in conditions containing corrosive media.
